A calorie calculator that just gives you the number

Most calorie sites make you create an account or sit through pop-ups before you see a single result. We wanted one that opens fast, works on any phone and tells you what you came for.

Who runs this site

CalorieCalculatorTDEE.com is built and run by Bilal. He made every calculator here and writes the guides on the blog.

Why we built this

Figuring out how much to eat shouldn't need an app, an account or a paid plan. You put in your age, height, weight and how active you are, and you get a daily calorie target along with a simple split of protein, carbs and fat. That's it.

We also show where the number comes from. If you understand how it's worked out, it's much easier to trust it, and to adjust it when your body doesn't behave the way the math says it should.

How the numbers are worked out

The calculator uses the Mifflin–St Jeor equation to estimate how many calories you burn at rest. It's the formula dietitians reach for most often, because research comparing the common equations has found it to be the most reliable for adults today.

That resting number is multiplied by an activity level, from mostly sitting to training hard every day. Then your goal is added on top: about 550 calories less per day to lose half a kilo a week, or more if you're trying to gain. Protein is set by body weight, fat is 25% of your calories, and carbs fill in the rest.

The reference ranges on the home page come from the Dietary Guidelines for Americans, 2020–2025, published by the USDA and HHS.
